I've found Goo to be an amazing game. I'm afraid to say that I've racked up many hours of play on my wii as well as my laptop in the pursuit of goo balls. I enjoy it so much because Goo doesn't totally rely on your swift physical responses, although at some levels it is required, but your thought process in solving various problems. Being 54, I'm not easily amused by video games, but this one is truly addicting!

This game is addicting and fun. I love the challenge of logic based puzzles. You have to think about how to build bridges, having a structure strong enough to make it to your goal, but still leaving some goo balls left. Some trial and error, some logic and lots of variety.

I hope to see another game like this soon.

This game has a simple premise - figure out how to connect the goo to build a structure that allows as many as possible to move from one place to another. A simple puzzle that's also challenging. Very cool, and lots of fun. And I love that I could download it right to my wii without having to buy a disk.

Don't get me wrong, World of Goo is outstanding, with a stellar list of pros going for it ...

+ beautiful graphics a la Tim Burton
+ haunting music a la Danny Elfman (with a free downloadable soundtrack at [...]
+ the "OCD" goals keeps repeat play interesting
+ great to be able to buy an Online Game Code rather than use Nintendo Points
+ supports development of user-made levels (at [...])
+ no copyright protection or DRM, which makes it easy to bring to a friend's house to play on their Wii
+ fun to watch someone else play it, though cooperative gameplay ability would have made it even better

That said, much as I love it ...

- the bargain that it is, Goo ought set the standard for $10 WiiWare games, not $15 ones: the Wii Store has far too much overpriced schlock as it is, and I fear World of Goo's pricing will further drive up the price of worthwhile WiiWare
- World of Goo has just 48 levels, which sounds like a lot, but as some take just seconds to complete, it's feasible that you'll end up with just 4 or 5 hours of gameplay before beating it
- despite the "OCD" goals, once the puzzles are solved, it's a lot less interesting to play
- World of Goo Corporation's metagame is rather weak

I hope that other WiiWare developers take the cue from World of Goo and develop clever, compelling and aesthetically fulfilling games, and release them DRM-free outside of the Wii Shop Channel. If they were to do so, and get the pricepoint to that of games in iPhone's App Store (or Google's Android Market), they will have struck upon an unbeatable formula. Until then, show your support for indie developers and buy World of Goo right now. You'll have a blast.
